(03 March) The 6th Mughal Emperor, Muhi al-Din Muhammad Aurangzeb, died at the ripe age of 88 in Ahmednagar, Mughal Empire (now in Maharashtra, India). He ruled India for 49 years over a population of 150 million people. Under his reign, India surpassed the Qing dynasty to become the world’s largest economy.
