(23 February) The siege of Chittorgarh ended with a Mughal victory. The siege began on October 23, 1567. The Mughal forces under Akbar's command defeated the Rajputs after a tough fight and thus, Akbar finally conquered the fort. Raja Todar Mal and Qasim Khan also played a key role in the Mughal conquest.
