This Day in History: 1092-10-14

(14 October) Noted Muslim scholar and the vizier of the great Seljuq Empire Nizam al-Mulk Tusi died in Nahavand, Iran. He served as a vizier under Sultan Alp Arslan and Malik Shah l. He set up Madrasa Nizamiyya and appointed 33-year-old Al-Ghazali as a professor of the school.
