This Day in History: 1568-03-21

(21 March) Rajput Raja Rao Surjan Hada surrendered the impregnable fort of Ranthambore to the 3rd Mughal Emperor Akbar after more than a month-long siege. Akbar besieged the fort after his conquest of Chittorgarh. It was a brief campaign and had a low number of casualties compared to the siege of Chittorgarh.
