(31 March) Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand Il of Spain issued the Alhambra Decree, ordering the expulsion of Jews who refused to convert to Christianity. At least 150,000 Jews were forced to relocate, and the majority fled to the Ottoman Empire, where they were welcomed by Sultan Bayezid Il.
