20 May 1622	Deaths	(20 May) The Ottoman Sultan Genç Osman or Osman II was murdered by rebellious & politically motivated soldiers, believed to have been associated with the 65th Janissary regiment. At the age of just 14 in 1618, he became the sultan of an empire, which was spread over three continents.
20 May 1885	Births	(20 May) King Faisal I of Iraq was born in Makkah, Hejaz Vilayet, Ottoman Empire. He was the third son of Hussein bin Ali, the Grand Sharif of Mecca. Faisal headed the Northern Army of the rebellion that confronted the Ottomans during the Arab Revolt (1916-1918).
