19 June 1097	Battles & Sieges	(19 June) The Seljukid capital city of Nicaea fell to the joint forces of the Byzantines and the Crusaders after more than a month-long siege. Eventually, Seljuks and the Crusaders met in the Battle of Dorylaeum on 1 July 1097.
19 June 1707	Events	(19 June) The seventh Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah I ascended the throne at the age of 63. He fought the Battle of Jajau against his brother in order to claim the throne.
