9 July 1913	Battles & Sieges	(9 July) Ottoman military officer Enver Pasha recovered Edirne (Adrianople) from the Bulgarian occupation during the Second Balkan War. Edirne was the capital city of the Ottoman Empire from the 1360s to 1453.
