11 December 1198	Deaths	(11 December) Prince of Science, Ibn Rushd died in Marrakesh (now in Morocco). Ibn Rushd was a true polymath with knowledge, expertise and genuine contributions to philosophy, medicine, Islamic law, astronomy, mathematics, physics and geography. Not surprisingly, he became known as the Prince of Science.
